Colorado Road Trip by BMW/Sidecar Day 3

Day three dawned bright and clear in Gunnison. Our loose itinerary had us heading west on highway 50. The Navigator had a little more coffee than usual so a "rest" stop was requested about 25 miles out of Gunnison. The best stop I could find was a boat ramp at Blue Mesa Reservoir. Reviewing the map we see Co. highway 92 , a little squiggly line heading north. That looked like a good scenic route so away we went......

Highway 92 follows the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Beautiful route.

Climbing up from the Canyon the road has some steep grades and little traffic........
The wild flowers were blooming all along the route.
